All Pro Painters provides quality interior painting, wood staining, wallpaper hanging and wallpaper removal.
Our services extend from older Victorian homes to new construction. As with exterior painting, preparation is the key to a quality paint job. Cracks and holes in walls, ceilings and trim are repaired with caulking, wood putty and joint compound. We provide minor sheetrock repair or installation where appropriate. Caulking is applied between trim boards and ceiling and walls. We sand all patched areas to a smooth flat surface. A full prime coat is applied to new plaster or woodwork as well as patched areas. A stain blocking primer is applied to water, smoke stains and tannin bleeding on trim boards. All Pro Painters uses only high quality paints from companies like Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams.
All Pro Painters provides quality stains to new and previously stained woodwork. Both new and old woodwork need preparation prior to applying stain. New wood has nail holes that need to be filled and caulking should be applied to adjoining surfaces. A wood conditioner should be applied to the woodwork. This allows an even distribution of the stain reducing a heavy grain look unless this is desirable. There are several types of wood some harder than others. Soft woods allow stain to penetrate deeper allowing the grain of the wood to show more predominantly than hard wood. Stains provide color but do not preserve the wood. A couple of coats of polyurethane protects the wood and its color. Previously stained wood should be lightly sanded prior to applying a fresh coat of polyurethane. In some cases where the wood has aged a fresh coat of stain may need to be applied.
